My mind instantly jumped to a time in my life when hoping and praying were the ONLY TOOLS I had, and then, without skipping a beat, to a sense of intense gratitude for how much things have changed since then…

Gentle Flow For Beginners 

With its strong focus on alignment and movement integrity, this class is perfect for students who want to establish a solid foundation in a traditional yoga practice, and also those transitioning from Satori’s Therapeutic classes.

Pain Care Yoga
This class is part meditation, part gentle movement, and part magic. It is designed for students who live with chronic pain and major movement limitations as a way to escape pain, calm the nervous system, and begin exploring the possibility of more movement.

Corrective Movement 

Living with persistent pain and tension often means fear of movement and a grand variety of compensation patterns. Here is a movement practice that is safe enough so that you don’t hurt for days after, yet challenging enough to keep you moving forward, improving your strength and mobility.

Myofascial Release:
Yin + Ball 

One of the more challenging Satori classes, YIN+BALL delivers a double whammy  – release myofascial adhesions through the ball practice, then lengthen and hydrate the tissues with longer-held yin postures. Perfect for those bound up hips and shoulders!

Core Restore, Session 1

This class is a core class like no other – no planks, no burpies, no throwing up.
Instead, we systematically focus on developing body and movement awareness,  waking up, and then strengthening muscles that stabilize the torso. Core Restore classes are built for students who wish to better their movement patterning to eliminate compensation patterns, reduce pain and tension, and improve athletic performance {even if you are just a casual walker, you will FEEL the difference}.

Hey, my name is Julia

Living with chronic pain has taught me to look for solutions in unlikely places –  places where most people see only problems.

Over the years I’ve gotten to be pretty good at this problem-solving and silver-lining finding thing.

So good that I felt compelled to share what I’ve learned and help others to find their sea legs while navigating, living, and winning their battle with chronic pain.
